A God-Thing

Sometimes we raise funds for backpacks when we're not really sure where exactly we will be taking them. I figure, we'll figure that out later. There seems to be no limit to the need on the Reservation, so I'm always sure we'll find someplace to take them.

And then sometimes I believe God just steps in and makes a divine connection. That happened this year when a lady from the Reservation contacted me via email asking what she needed to do to get backpacks for the children in her community. She needed 350 for the children and youth in the Calico community.

Finding Calico proved to be an adventure in and of itself. After getting lost a few times we finally discovered a small police station and received a tribal police escort to Calico by Officer Afraid of Bears.

Once we got there it became very clear that this was the lady we were meant to see. Below is an amazing video interview she gave us.
