I Rarely Talk About This But ...

Just heard from a friend that she heard on the news that the Avon plant she works for is closing and she'll be out of a job. So will her best friend and her best friend's husband. I think its sad that she heard it on the news ... not even a phone call. I also think its a shame that the plant will reopen ... in Mexico. So why in this economy are we sending American jobs to another country?

Amber, I sure would like to know the answer to that question. My sister's place of employment has let go thousands of employees (Met Life) because all of their call centers are now in India. Part of her job is to train someone in India how to do what she does and then they let her go! She knows its only a matter of time.

I don't get it. I really don't. How do these corporate leaders sleep at night knowing how they are f'ing things up for so many Americans?????
